The FLAPS OUT story and some irrelevant bit about me!

Life is strange! The idea for FLAPS OUT came from a rock shape I made when just fiddling with some clay in pottery, I loved the shape (although I could just pick one up from a pebble beach), when I was asked what I had made I said "I do not know, but it's 'MINE'". So I stamped it 'MINE'.

On returning home I wondered where I would put my 'MINE' rock.... and suddenly I wanted many messages to pop around the house, for many reasons!
​
The idea seemed a little silly at first I dubbed it 'Family Rocks', which morphed into Flaps AKA mini A-Boards rather than rocks (which was my sons' much better solution).
​
I loved the concept and saw a real purpose for it... for fun, giggles and to communicate in a slightly different way, which would be fitting in many situations.
​
My mind was full of ideas on when, where and how FLAPS OUT can be used...so within 13 weeks (since Aprils fools day) I; Trade Marked 'FLAPS OUT', did some research, commissioned a mould and developed the product & branding ready to take up one of the last stands available at Home and Gift Harrogate on July 20th 2025.
